Dan has 25+ years’ experience providing leadership to strategic initiatives in the healthcare and life sciences markets. Over the course of his career, Dan has led strategic initiatives for clients to build new companies, consolidate operating units and transform organizations based on strategy, organizational development, process redesign and technology.

Dan started Parnassus Consulting in 2012 to support healthcare transformation through new models for healthcare delivery and population research using innovative technology and data sciences. Dan works with healthcare providers, payors, regulators, research institutions and life sciences companies, both individually and under multi-sector initiatives.

Dan works with individual healthcare organizations to support growth and to deliver high-quality, cost-effective care. Dan has also played a role in advancing large scale population research & surveillance in the United States. For his clients, Dan led an effort to raise funding and subsequently start-up operations for the Biologics and Biosimilars Collective Intelligence Consortium. Similarly, he helped to build the Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership and the FDA Sentinel Initiative. 

These initiatives use healthcare data covering over 150 million lives to support clinical research and active drug safety surveillance.Dan started his career with Andersen Consulting (Accenture) where he participated in theground floor start-up of Astra Merck, now Astra Zeneca and the transformation of drug safety operations at Wyeth-Ayerst Pharmaceuticals (now Pfizer) after a global drug safety crisis. 

Dan also led Computer Sciences Corporation’s (CSC) health informatics and data warehousing practice. Dan has been a consistent advocate for the use of healthcare data and applied data sciences at scale to advance healthcare, accelerate medical research and conduct active surveillance. Dan has a Bachelor of Science, in Management and Statistics from The Pennsylvania State University.
